I had a meet today to swap firearms. I made a bad assumption that Greentop would facilitate the paperwork. After discovering my mistake I called a dealer on the State Police list, D.K. firearms to verify they would handle the transfer. The lady who answered told me they do not. I downloaded the State Police list tonight and after the discussion about Gander Outdoors I see they are not on the list. I will call a couple of dealers on the list I have done business with and verify they will handle the transfer then reschedule. Fortunately my trading partner is easy to work with. As a heads up be sure to call any dealer you plan on working through to verify they still do transfers for private trades.

This is exactly what Gov. Blackface intended to happen with the UBC bill. A FFL I dealt with a few times decided to stop doing private sale transactions this past weekend. He told me it became to much of a hassle and took up too much time from his retail customers. I couldn't disagree with that after watching him try to do four things at once.
I hope we don't keep losing more FFLs who are willing to do private sales....

Gander does transfers for private transactions. If you're a member pay $15 and transfers are free. Don't call, just go in.

Do you think losing more FFLs to doing them is going to change anything? It should but it won't. As long as this idiot governor is around with his party, things won't change. It will just prevent more people from doing private transactions. Which is what they want.

The State Police south of Greentop on Brook Rd won't do them either.
Cheapest things is to do it at a show with the Police State for $2

GFR near you over 218 near YMCA does it for $10 and that includes the $2 they have to pay the state.

Cheapest things is to do it at a show with the Police State for $2 I and two other gentlemen stopped a person trying to break into some lady’s car to steal the meds she had laying in the front seat many years ago and took them over that same vsp. We were told they don’t do intake processing there and gave us a card to contact vsp. Here comes the punch line: We called that number and that vsp desk phone rang.
