While after seeing a listing for a bubba Wasr 10 on here for 25 hundred, I’m inclined to believe that peak insanity has to be close. Although with the pending Bolshevik overthrow and their full court press to ramp up the civilian disarmament industry, I’m not sure that this is the peak of greed and fear in the firearms industry. I’m curious to hear others opinions on this almost comical levels of insanity in valuing prices for sale.

I saw that listing too and thought it had to be an April Fools joke. Import AK market has gone off the rails!

Honestly it was so outlandish, I didn’t even think that it could possibly be a joke. But you’re completely correct on the current market for anything Kalashnikov related. The bright side (hopefully) is that if things cool down eventually (again hopefully), then the market will be flooded with sellers that lost interest once the hype is gone. At least that is what I’m telling myself. I’ve got 2 parts kits left to build after I finish this one I’m on now, after which there’s no way I could justify the price kits going rates of today.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse... sure I’ll trade this polytech for your braced pistol. I just love Tapco and NCStar handguards. I mean. I know that you know what you got.

Soon we'll see the people who jumped the gun too fast so to speak. We're going to get a lot of resellers who bought into the industry too fast and are gona be looking to sell their stuff after buyer's remorse, second thoughts, etc. Already seen it with a guy trying to offload a P365 for $1000
had a hard time letting him know he overpaid and that's not what it's worth

I have been thinking the same thing, and am looking forward to seeing the market flooded with sellers. The import and 5.45 Kalashnikov market is so crazy that it is beyond belief it could go anywhere but down. All bets of off though if the civilian disarmament industry gains the upper hand.

I have to add another to the list of insanity, although I’m aware how “rare” it is. 1500 dollar yugo pistol. We haven’t even seen the top to this astronomical price point that sellers believe they should get.

Or the $2,000 PSA GF5? That’s what top tier no longer imported AK’s go for now.

I saw that post, I did the math (that ak is still in stock currently on PSA's website) if you add all the **I VOTED FOR BIDEN** he's including in the sale, he's making off with close to $500. **I VOTED FOR BIDEN** these people

Frankly half the crap for sale here is overpriced, or the seller doesn’t understand the concept of a used gun and depreciation. So many psa/aero pistol builds where a person slaps a geissele rail + holosun 510, and suddenly wants 2k. It’s like if I can spend 20 minutes on r/gafs building your gun for half the price or just go to gunjoker for it cheaper, then maybe some humility might be in order.

That's why I rarely buy a used gun if it's something I can get new. I even prefer to buy a used gun from a shop, it's less hassle in the long run.

The “I know what I got”, “Super Rare”, and my personal favorite “I’m not desperate” sellers are the worst. They are also the first to make claims towards other listings of being overpriced. I’ve come to the conclusion that some gun owners must believe that they have some sort of “Midas touch” and their ownership now warrants a premium and doesn’t become less expensive as used. Actually it’s probably much simpler to explain, they are straight greedy schmucks.

After some of the insulting low balls I've gotten for the few things I've sold/traded here, I can see why sensible people would put "I know what I've got" or "not desperate." Robert's right though, the people who offer you less than half of your already e-bay price and want you to pay shipping are the same people who say they know what they've got. They're also the ones who think a Gen 4 Glock 19 is "custom" because their cross eyed neighbor took a soldering iron to the grip and is now "custom stippled."

going off of this, on another note ammo on here is an absolute joke. Prices online are constantly being lowered every week, yet you still have people on here selling for the same price they bought it months ago at the height of the craze.

That is the very reason I made this post from the beginning. I started to see certain members post outrageous prices and then after talking to others here, those very same people are the ones that are offering the laughable buy offers. I’ve even seen numerous purchases on here that I was following, only to see them re listed at a huge mark up. Ultimately I’m just venting frustration at some attempting to turn this great forum into a Middle East bazaar.

Yeah, there are a bunch of them. One guy I can think of has cute descriptions for his ammo or he's selling for a neighbor, and has it for ridiculous prices. Then he's in some of these threads talking about the flippers and whatnot.

The “I’m selling for a friend or neighbor” listings are predictably hilarious. Your right about the “creative” descriptions in them as being a joke really. It’s like they think it’s some sort of camouflage or cover for there raw greed. By a ever increasing number of listings, one would be led to believe that anything related to firearms is “rare”. It’s really a shame what has happened to the firearms enthusiast community in the past few years. Not that long ago, firearms had a pretty standard and straight forward value the was pretty much universal, now the spread between the highest and lowest prices is massive. I’ve always hated the phase “Gun owners are their own worst enemy”, but I have to admit that it’s becoming all too true.

There have always been over priced stuff on this site. No point getting upset about it.

Now that private sales have to go thru an FFL makes little sense to pay more than the best online price for a firearm or ammo.

So this goes out to all the celebrity gun owners on here that defy normal market practices and cause the price of their used firearm to become worth much more than a factory new one. Shout out to all members who by virtue of simply using a particular firearm, causes a 900 dollar knock off replica of a outdated Israeli rifle to magically become worth three times the price of every major gun dealer on the internet. The honor is all mine….

Back at it once again, there seems to be some out there that believe that they have the ability to turn their firearms into pure gold. Unlike a alchemist, they don’t move anything as their dozens of self bumped posts show. I’m honestly at a loss in try to come to grips with how they aren’t embarrassed by posting such absurdity.

The civilian disarmament industry is pulling out all the big guns in coordination with the controlled media to trick the average couch potatoes into believing that the vast majority of couch potatoes want to be left defenseless, all in the name of “childrens safety”.
