I’ve been considering buying a Ballistic Advantage 13.7” or 14.5” barrel for a while now, and I’m curious to hear any reports regarding accuracy. I normally choose Noveske barrels, but now that their stock is never IN stock, and prices have been raised, I might consider trying out BA. Thoughts regarding accuracy?

I absolutely love BA barrels for hard working carbines. I have several and they all are well made, perform as needed/expected and I'd never hesitate to buy from them.

Thanks for the input! Have you seen sub-moa results?

Yes but not from the 13.7 and 14.5 barrels. This is because I've never owned those two lengths from BA before. I have had the 11.5" and I've currently got 16" barrels from them and all have been sub MOA with good ammo, until they get hot and such.

Well that’s a good sign. I’m just trying to find out if they can even hold a candle to a comparable length Noveske barrel. I certainly wouldn’t mind having something with such a skinny profile. I’ll probably end up going with a 14.5” / Lantac Dragon ASR.

From what I've found, the chrome lined Noveske barrels are pretty comparable to FN chrome lined and such. What sets Noveske apart for me is their stainless steel barrels. Because Pack Nor does great work.

IMO, I either build to be accurate and run hard or be super accurate and know that due to extremely tight tolerances there will be issues eventually. YMMV

I’ve only ever had the stainless barrels from Noveske... never the chrome-lined.
I look forward to dropping a LIGHT barrel in a build for once lol. I checked the BA website, and go figure, the skinny, middy 14.5 is out of stock.

Again, thanks for the input!

I own the 20” DMR profile from BA and before upgrading the trigger in my build I managed to put 3 shots into a quarter size group at 100yds with plain PMC 55 grain and 5x magnification. I’m looking forward to doing some 5 and 10 shot groups now that I have a drop in trigger pack.

That’s pretty impressive. I’m assuming that you have a 1/7” twist barrel, which is that much more impressive. Or does BA offer a 1/9”?
