I've successfully done several in-person sales from VGT. I'm in the process of doing a remote sale.
Seller has product; I have money. We both have CashApp. There are 2 FFLs involved. What's the correct order of events for the transaction to take place? In my head it should go like this:
1. Seller gives product to his FFL 2. I xfer $ to him via CashApp 3. His FFL sends product to my FFL 4. I pick up product.
I haven't dealt with this person before and they are pea-shooter here with no rep. I shouldn't xfer cash before his FFL has the product, right?

Pay him when the item arrives at your FFL. He can always call your FFL and request that they not release it to you until payment is made, though there are a lot of holes in doing this too. In my opinion, a remote deal with a new guy with zero feedback through CashApp smells like a scam right off the bat.

It felt too sketchy. I bailed.
Thanks for the info... your description sounds like the way it should work

I posted something similar to this in the "help for members" forum and now I can't delete it
