Just wanted to know if an M1 Carbine would be legal to hunt deer with in VA? I know the .44 mag is and I assume a .357 would be also. Thoughts or anyone know?

Yep it’s legal for deer but I would use something more powerful. Most ammo available for it are FMJ there are better options. Will it kill a deer? Sure but so will a claw hammer if you hit it hard enough in the right place.

Yes it's legal. Like mentioned above there are better choices. Still though it's on par with 357 mag power and will work up close with an expanding bullet
