Happy 250th Birthday to the US Army!
To celebrate up for sale is a Springfield Armory M1 Garand purchased thru the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) in April 2015. Serial # production is from March 1945, re-barreled with SA 10-51 barrel. Barrel is bright. Stock is SA open box cartouche replacement with matching hand guards.
The majority of parts are period correct SA parts to include bolt, oprod, trigger housing, and the unique and rare saw-cut gas [[/s]s]cylinder.
This a great example of a wartime M1 Garand. I have grown my collection and this was an early mail-order for me, which [[/s]s]means you have no idea what you get until you open it. When I realized I could visit the CMP and pick out my own, well, that changed the game and emptied my wallet.
