Rare Cold War era (1950-1960s) radio antenna case. Very good condition, clean inside and out. Case is solid and sturdy. Held together with rivets. Metal reinforced corners. All original badges. Hinge, handle and latches work great. Crate is lockable. This thing was built to last. Limitless storage possibilities! (store ammo, firearms, missiles, rockets, whatever) or use as a great display piece. URM-47: The "URM" prefix generally denotes general test equipment (Universal Radio Measurement). The URM-47 was a signal generator, used for testing radio and communication equipment. The URM-47 signal generator and its accessories (including the CY-1526 case) were developed and used primarily in the 1950s and 1960s. This was during the Cold War era, when analog RF testing equipment was essential for maintaining military communication systems.
