For sale is a Remington Model 700 Mountain Rifle, stainless steel, chambered in 7mm-08. It has a brown laminated stock with a 22” barrel. This rifle was accurized by Hill Country Rifle in New Braunfels, TX in 2008 at a cost of $445.00. Services included Inspection of barrel, chamber, locking lugs, stock, scope, and trigger. The action was pillar bedded to the stock, free floated and recrowned the barrel, and adjust trigger. Locking lug contact was checked, head space checked, lapped scope rings and remount scope. Test fired @ 100 yards with 140 g Federal Premium bullets. Two test fired targets were returned with rifle, one 3 shot group @ just under ¾” and another 3 shot group @ just over 5/8”. Rifle carries a Leupold VX-III, 2.5 x 8 x 36, in matte finish with the Boone & Crockett reticle. The scope is mounted with Talley lightweight rings with Butler Creek flip up scope caps. Rifle without ammo weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz. Trigger breaks cleanly @ 3.25 lbs. Included with the sale are the following, RCBS X-FL Die set (2 die set) part # 37412, 96 fired cases, and a variety of loaded ammo. There are 12 rounds of factory loads and 30 rounds of reloads.
