I have a really neat fox studios marked 1884 Springfield trap door rifle in 45-70 government , the rifle is a functional real shooting rifle - wasn’t decommissioned for movie use at all , you can fire 45-70 black powder loads or Remington green box smokeless rounds from all my research or special loads from Steinel ammo and it’s very reasonable priced and specific for these older rifles , owner before me used just off the shelf Remington green box smokeless - can NOT use any of the hot lever gun ammo - research shows fox studios bought some of these to use in the movie WaterLoo , this one isn’t mint by any means but solid no cracks in the stock , action is very tight and barrel rifling present and clean - they painted over the original blu for the movies but removes easily if you rub with cleaning oil , it’s just a really awesome rifle that you can shoot still or collect as movie memorabilia

Looking to trade this rifle for a nice Finnish Mosin , preferably a M39 OR Swiss K31
