Tony212k had a canik sfx pro with leupold delta point pro listed for sale. The price was 595$. Before messaging him I visited his profile, no negative feedback and he has been a member since 2012. I figured this was good enough to pursue the purchase from him. The add described the gun “like new” and that’s the impression I got from conversations via text.

I arranged a meet at new Kent rest stop on December 23rd around 7pm.
Met with Tony212k for the pistol. He presented me the pistol with optic still installed. I briefly looked it over in the rest stop parking lot at 7pm where the lighting was not great but he was a long time member and I took that for what it was worth.

Got the pistol home and upon further inspection I could see something was not right with the optic mounting. So I removed the optic. Once I did it was clear the pistol had been modified to fit the optic and in a horrible fashion. Which clearly not like new. Almost all the rear dovetail was removed with a sliver remaining that actually was very sharp. I reached out to tony to resolve this issue via text message and pm here. No response.

I’d advise against doing business with him.

I posted this gun with detailed, clear photos of all sides, including where the optic is mounted. In addition to the photos, you determined the meeting place and time, which was in the evening hours at the rest stop. You pulled the gun out of the box and inspected in front of me before you purchased.

I listed the gun as like new because as I told you it had only been shot a few times. I had someone put the optic on and as I am not a gunsmith, I did not get details on what his process was to mount it. When I got it back, it looked good and the optic fit as desired. I didn't see this as an issue.

As for responding, you text on Christmas when my family and I were in a remote location for the holidays and did not get back to you. I hope you enjoy the gun, because it is a great shooter if you can get past the cosmetic "issue" you have with the slide.

I was very polite with the text I sent you. I should not have been. Also you still have not replied to the text I sent. Is it still Christmas

Cosmetic!?!? You do understand that if there is no optic mounted on this pistol I cannot use the pistol because the rear sight has lost the capability of having one?!?!

You’ve all seen both of our responses. Deal if you wish.
