I have over a dozen 2005 US Mint USMC Iwo Jima silver dollar proofs, still in US Mint presentation box and sealed in plastic case. These coins were minted by the US Mint to help fund the building of the USMC museum in Quantico. I believe this is the first US coin (currency) that was dedicated solely to one military Service. $120 each. The other one is DC Frederick Douglas. (The US Mint made 5oz silver quarters to commemorate the 25 anniversary of the beautiful state quarters series. I'm pretty sure these are the largest quarters ever minted.) They are still in the US Mint presentation boxes and sealed in plastic case. $600 each. I have a 2006 US Mint gold buffalo proof coin. Still in US Mint presentation box and sealed in plastic case. $5500. (I sold the 2 pamp 10oz silver bars to a VAguntrader member if you want a reference.) just as clarification--are the USMC silver dollar proofs 1oz silver or just mint proofs? I did not see any markings on the coins.
