Model 1888 Trapdoor .45/70 Rod Bayonet rifle for sale or trade. Very nice condition, stock has not been sanded and has inspectors stamp and “P” stamp. Bore is very good. Top of buttplate is stamped “H” and “21” ( 21st <state> Infantry Co. H?). This rifle was made in 1891. Has repro sling. There were about 60K of these rifles produced between 1890-1893. These saw service in the Span-Am war with National Guard units and state militias, regular Army units got the Krag. PM for pic's. $1075 or trade for just about anything. FTF in the Spotsy Courthouse/Lake Anna area
