Whelp - correction- One important 2026 nuance: ATF has discussed/proposed reducing redundant markings for people making NFA firearms by altering existing firearms, but the result can depend on whether a rule is merely proposed, final, or applicable to your exact situation. ATF’s May 2026 “Clarify” page says it is proposing to let individuals making NFA firearms by altering existing firearms adopt existing original manufacturer markings rather than adding redundant ones.

I need NFA/Form 1 SBR engraving on an already-serialized firearm.

Please engrave the Form 1 maker information only:

This is for a Form 1 SBR. The firearm already has the original manufacturer/importer serial number, model, and caliber markings, so I am not requesting a new serial number.

Please engrave to comply with 27 CFR § 479.102: legible, conspicuous, and at least .003 inch deep. Please confirm the engraving location before starting.
