Up for sale is a Finnish M39, the pattern widely regarded as the best-built and most accurate of the Mosin-Nagant service rifles. This one was assembled by VKT (the Finnish state rifle factory) in 1941, during the Continuation War buildup. Serial 40984.

Markings are boxed SA Finnish Army property stamp, VKT marking, "D" bore-diameter mark, and the 1941 date on the barrel shank. Barrel, receiver, bolt matches. The magazine plate serial number has been crossed out. The rifle wears its original Finnish birch stock with the semi-pistol grip and through-stock sling slots. No cracks on the stock. Excellent factory bluing still present. Bore shows strong rifling with light frosting.
