This is a barely used E2HT. Note this is just the head, not a complete light. $100
This is the original version, which Malkoff rated at 500 lumens and 35,000 candela. This version also has a 3.4-6v driver. This driver is better if you want to run a single li-ion like a 16650 or 16340. It will stay regulated for a decent amount of time, where the newer 3.8-9v driver will not (regulated meaning the output is steady. The 3.8-9v driver will slowly decline in output since 3.8v is pretty high for a li-ion that nominally makes 3.6v). Both work fine on 2xCR123. The newer versions get brighter but do not improve on the throw. So this will be a tighter looking beam than those, less spill.
It's pretty high throw for how narrow it is. The Surefire turbo and similar heads easily out-throw it but they are also a lot wider. If you wanted a throwy head for an E2 or E1 (w/ 16340) handheld, this could be a good choice. Or if you want your scout light to be narrow so it isn't in the way of other things or sticking out as far to the side, this could be a good choice. If you want bright spill, the 1000 lumen Surefire or the newer versions of the E2HT might make more sense. I included a few comparison photos to give a sense of the size.
To be clear, in spite of the fact this can use 2xCR123 or a single li-ion, it is not "dual fuel" size. It's E-series/scout sized. Feel free to ask me if this doesn't make sense. Basically the original E-series pattern is narrow and an 18mm battery can't generally fit in it. So when Surefire decided to sell 18650/2xCR123 lights, they enlarged the body and head. It's a new pattern colloquially called "dual fuel" because that is where it was introduced. But people still make E-series sized stuff, and using 16650's was common before Surefire came out with their latest stuff.
I use email that doesn't receive VAGT emails. So I won't get any message notifications. I'll try to check the forum regularly but be aware there may be some delay in replying. I also won't leave the ad up for too long to avoid someone replying much later and me not seeing it.
