I rescued it about 7 years ago from the bottom of a old tool box at a yard sale in Yorktown. Picked it up for $75 along with the toolbox and assorted old hand tools. It was void of any finish sporting only a light coat of rust along with the original two tone magazine loaded with 1940's dated ammo. I had it bead blasted, removed the sights replacing them with taller later dated sights. Parkerized it, installed a NOS WWII barrel and link and have been carrying it since. I own 6 1911's and this is by fay my favorite even though it still bites me every time I take it to the range.

It's a Colt National Match slide and barrel on a Para high capacity frame. The muzzle brake was a custom job. Softest shooting .45ACP I've ever fired.
