So which stock do you like best on your rifle?
No stock? AK pistols are becoming more and more popular these days, especially since they require no part swapping to be 922(r) compliant. Dracos, M92/M85 Paps, Arsenal - a poor man's Krink! The only downside to these is the need to buy a stamp and wait in order to put a stock on.
How about a folding stock? Just about every former Combloc country made a folding stock variant, with underfolders being one of the only common types before branching out to the side folders. You've got the "wire" folders (left or right folding) from Poland, Romania, East Germany, Egypt and Hungary. Then came the AKS-74 with it's triangular side-folder that we also see on AKS-74U's (Krinks), Arsenal SLR rifles and others. With the breakup of the Soviet Union, the Russians developed the AK-1xx series to sell to the free world. With these new rifles, we started to see the polymer full stock side-folder, as first debuted with the Russian military-issue AK-74M. This is also the most common type found on Arsenal SLR rifles.
Underfolders: Very compact, fairly durable. Not so good cheekweld without a beard, no storage for the tool kit.
Wire side folders: fairly compact, very durable. Cheekweld? What's that? Also, no storage for the tool kit.
Triangle side folder: decently compact, very durable, cheekweld is possible. No storage for the tool kit, difficult to unfold.
Polymer side folder: best of both worlds, you get a great full stock for excellent cheek weld, and it still folds away. Also has a place for your tool kit. Only bad thing is that it's thicker than any of the other side folders.
Though, not enough praise is given to the good old fashioned wooden stock. It looks great, gives you great cheekweld and lets you store the little toolkit cylinder with ease. What's not to like?
So, vote away! What is YOUR favorite stock type? Pictures are welcomed!

That's a really difficult question. I have 550 chord on my triangle folder and it allows me to store the cleaning kit inside the stock. There lo really big difference between an AKM (stamped) style Underfolder and a type 3 AK-47 (milled) style Underfolder. The angle is different so you have a much better sight picture and cheek weld. Ultimately, I think the question depends on your intended purpose. Compact bugout bag gun, I'll take the triangle folder. Standard battle rifle, I'll take the fixed wood stock (it makes a really good baseball bat if you run out of ammo). If I'm using the rifle while in a vehicle, I'll take a type 3 underfolder. For long range accuracy I would choose a psl style thumbhole stock. All of this said though, the Russky special forces use the poly folding stock and if it's good enough for the spetznatz, it's good enough for me.

Hey now, better to be over dressed than under dressed. Awesome RPK you've got though, I'd need one if it would fit in my safe. It's already like a game of tetris.
