Please message me if you are willing to take an online class to be certified to register voters in Virginia and then work to register people. Left wingers have been working tirelessly for 12 years and have registered 750K people. They keep contact with those people and encourage them to get out and vote...for Dems/socialists. We have to register 100k people and network hard to GOTV in both 2020 and 2021. We have ONE CHANCE to turn this clusterfuck around. If we fail, we are Californicated. Message me here.

AT LAST, A VOICE OF REASON!

THIS IS THE TOOL OF A REPRESENTATIONAL REPUBLIC, THE VOTE.

Not firearms, nor rants, nor riots;just the vote.Such a little word, but carrying such weight and power. It shows what we think should be the path our country should take, what we think are pressing issues, how issues should be addressed. It shows that we are capable of critical thinking, reason, and judgement. It tells those that represent us,our EMPLOYEES, how we want the job of government done. All the rest is window dressing compared to this one little word.

So,do it, use that tiny little word so fraught with power that most seem to ignore it when it's time to let their voice be heard. I dare you.

Great post. Message me some contact info. Then find 5 or 10 friends and get them to take the online class and start signing people up AND saving their contact information in your phone. I am getting set up with nation builder, an organizational app. We can put the names in my phone and mass email everyone at the same time.

Had to give a bit of time to considering my response,so sorry for the delay.

First off,I AM A LIBERAL. There, got that out of the way.

I really loathe the way the words "liberal" and "conservative" have beem co-opted by extremists on either side of the political spectrum. Gives no foundation of principle, just a convenient soundbite to give people something to clutch without thinking. If you want to know the principles that a liberal holds dear, the easiest route would be to study the work of Teddy Roosevelt and John Kennedy, sort of a primer really;but all things begin somewhere.

Enough "preaching",let's get down to work.

I'd like to see EVERY VOTER IN THE STATE VOICE THEIR OPINION ON ALL SUBJECTS, not just firearms. The fact that more people don't vote than do is the greatest concern that faces the whole process.Sadly,I don't know how we could get even 70% participation, but still we can try.

Towards that end, step outside the comfort zone. I actively seek out people from both sides;conservative that make lue-jones look like Mao,liberal that make Lenin look like Reagan.I ask them one question"What are you afraid of?",and the answers offer insight that allows for reasoned discourse, something missing in the whole.Sometimes reason cannot conquer fear, and there they stand, the folks that remain stagnate on both sides. They are frozen in a moment of fear, unable or unwilling to continue the great experiment of the first country founded on reason.I feel pity for both.

As to contact info,I don't bother with a portable phone( I like the time alone with myself and dogs too much) so we should use the PM function here.Hopefully there will not be a repeat of the fiasco from an earlier attempt of opening dialogue (see SHOOTING THE BULL,I'M TIRED,SO LET'S CUT TO THE CHASE).Be aware there are a few folks here that will do there best to block you and hijack your thread, whether out of perverse amusment or lack of reason,I couldn't say which.

The screen name you chose is one of the greatest philosophers of Rome, who had the courage to try and teach ethics to both Caligula and Nero.Do good by such a name.
