Can a Virginia resident legally purchase a long gun from a NC FFL (gun dealer)?

I have not found a clear answer.

Thank you

By federal law, and the laws of both VA and NC, yes you can purchase a rifle or a shotgun. A stripped receiver is not a rifle or a shotgun. A pistol grip only Mossberg 500 is not a shotgun.

Never initiate force against another. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
