I just got a Sig 516 complete 14.5” upper and it’s an older version and not pinned & welded at the factory. I’d like to find someone in NoVA if possible. If not, I’m willing to ship and would appreciate any recommendations on a Gunsmith.

Rainier Arms is excellent and affordable. Mail it; haven’t found a local shop worth a crap.

Take a look at Sterling Arsenal. They do anything and everything including pin and weld for short barrels. They may have some examples of pin/weld work to show you.
