Hi Gunsmiths,

What's your suggestion on dealing with scratches / holster wear on a 2nd Gen Colt SAA (c.1957)? See the pic. There are a few long scratches, but one that is more noticeable. Is it better just left as-is. Any tips on making it less noticeable?

Throw some cold bluing on it and keep it moving. The finish that is on it doesn't appear to be original so I wouldn't worry about de-valuing anything. Patch it up and go.
