Does anybody else shoot at SEG in Ashburn? I've been a member there for a few months. They've got a shiny facility, rarely a wait, it's close to my house, and the membership fee is fairly priced. Despite all those pros, I think I've decided to cancel and give up on the place. Why would I do that after such a glowing review?! I think I'm out because the staff is pretty terrible. A few are friendly, but 90% of the staff I've interacted with there manage to be simultaneously terrified and condescending. Despite several opportunities to prove otherwise, the unhappy workers at SEG seem to have zero inclination towards customer service. Has anyone else experienced this? Just looking for a sanity check to see if I'm the looney in this situation.

I went in there to transfer without an appointment (First time selling private in VA so I didn't know) and was met with such an attitude from this 120lb "man" behind the desk. It was 9am and the only people there were going into the range. No other sales were going on. I ended up calling home FFL's and found a super cool dude to transfer for me that morning. I already avoid indoor ranges like the plague so I definitely would never go back.

Had another bad experience and decided to make it my last. I purchased a rifle from them online during a pre-Black Friday sale they had. After hearing nothing on my order for a full week, I called up to inquire about picking it up. Was told I couldn't do so for 1 to 2 more weeks because they didn't have available appointments. Ended up talking to the owner who told me, in so many words, they didn't really need or care about any one customer's business. I canceled the order and my membership. I'm a really agreeable person but can't patronize places like that.
