Taking it to the Chantilly show tomorrow, not likely bringing it back w me. Considering current offers. 1927 Ithaca NY 12ga Grade 4E - 27in double barrel with single trigger and barrel selector upgrade. Excellent condition, clean/shiny bore....... Original, it has only been lightly cleaned by me. Has original owner's name engraved on inlaid gold shield on butt stock. 1 of 560 Ithaca models manufactured in 1927, as I understand. I have not yet found reference to how many of the 560 made were 12ga or 4E vs other ga made. Built by hand, one at a time by order. Asking $4500 for this high quality historical collector. Reduced to $4000 or Best Reasonable Offer. I might change my mind and keep it.... but I am in a mood to let it go to someone who appreciates such a collector item. If you have significant knowledgeable input re the value and/or production count, please share it w me and provide me a copy or link to the reference that backs it up. I can only go by what information I have found thus far. Pictures are limited to what is allowed to be uploaded. I have more pics upon request.
