It is a brushed stainless, double action/single action 6-shot revolver with a 4-inch one-piece barrel, a non-stacking trigger, a serrated backstrap and hammer spur, and a rock-solid cylinder lockup. This K6s employs two safeties: the original rebound safety with the addition of a transfer bar safety, which prevents the revolver from firing unless the trigger is pulled. For the firearm purists, there are no MIM parts in this Kimber K6s. With an empty cylinder, this Kimber weighs 29 ounces – thus a candidate for concealed carry. This is a remarkably accurate firearm that brings due credit to Kimber Engineering. Although relatively light in weight, its all-steel construction absorbs 357 Magnum recoil exceedingly well. This like new, ultra refined Kimber has fired at the NRA Range a single cylinder of 357 Magnum rounds for familiarization and less than a couple of boxes of target grade 38 Special – it’s in flawless condition. This exceptionally lite use is explained by a current shift in priority back to semi-autos, specifically 1911s.
