My Colt Defender, which since I have gotten the CrossBreed SuperTuck has become my daily carry piece. Love that holster!

The knife is from Ultimate Equipment , and just arrived today. Merry Christmas to me!

I've got the itch for another 1911. All I've ever had was a Firestorm clone, a Kimber Ultra Carry II, and a Taurus. Craving something Springfield.

You can't go wrong with a Springfield. I've had several. IMHO, it's the best mass produced 1911, generally speaking.

I have never owned a 1911 but I promised myself I would get a 1911 for the 100th anniversay last year. However I had no idea I would be building one. I started this back in November and do work on it as time permits. This is blending in the beavertail.

There she is (and I'm not really even a 1911 guy) - my left-handed 1911 (bought off of this site) and my left-handed Weatherby Mark V Deluxe and a whopping big Virginia buckle to keep it all relevant.

Kudos to LeChuck for his advice on using Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish to restore the mirror finish to shiny metals!

Oops, it's a Randall. As far as I can tell, back in the 80's Randall made the first stainless steel 1911s and also the first lefties (of this model there are about 225 per the Blue Book of Gun Values). They eventually sold their equipment and left over inventory to Safari Arms who made a few lefties called "the Renegade" - I think Safari Arms got bought up by Olympic Arms (?) who sold the last of the left hand stock. I've since seen 1 Caspian made in left-hand on gunbroker and wish I had had the funds at the time to aquire it. I've heard that a company in Canada was making a lefty, but all my searches have come up empty. This Randall has the box, manual, and a second set of target grips. The seller bought it as an investment and never shot it. The original owner shot it, but didn't really clean it. I took it completely down and cleaned and polished it to the point that my finger tips are tender and missing a few layers of skin! If there's anything I love more than shooting my guns, it's getting to clean them up when they're really dirty. Incidentally all the internals are flipped too, even the rifling is counter-clockwise!
