I have a Benelli M4 that has been fully converted for 3-gun competition (very fast reloads). The mods include (and I may be forgetting a few):

1) CarrierComp 7-round TITANIUM MAGAZINE TUBE
2) 3-round extension with custom cut spring
3) A&S Engineering Benelli M4 Enhanced Trigger Guard
4) extended mag lifter
5) elongated port (machined)
6) Auto-Loading Lifter by J Kenny & Co. (eliminates the need to put first round in the chamber before loading the tube. Just load the tube and one round will auto chamber.)
7) ATI forend with heat shield (inverted loading without burning your hand)
8) Mesa Tactical Urbino stock with riser and limbsaver.
9) Iron sight elimination and picatinny rail conversion.
10) ODG Ceracote finish
