This is an antique under US and VA laws.
US military rifle turned into a hunting gun. 23" barrel, original stock cut down wirh no remaining cartouches. Original sights replaced with buckhorn rear and ramp front. Finish remains on part of the bolt group and area that was under the handguard. Most of the finish is thin but not spotted. Bore is very clean and bright. Leather sling is included.
The Krag action is the smoothest bolt action US military rifle made. 5 round magazine.
It is a pretty compact open sight gun that packs 25% more power than a .30-30 into a classic gun.

This is the 1st US smokeless powder military rifle. It is 135 years old.
