I got lucky a few years ago. A good friend called me and asked if I needed any SP primers. I told him if he had some extra ones I'd take them. 20 minutes later he showed up with 20K CCI OEM SP primers, gave them to me. I'm set for now.

Definitely not pretty! $100 for 1k SP and $250 for SR here! Maybe I should start selling my surplus. Good luck on that guy asking $250 here. I wish I had a HAZMAT license, I'd sell on GunBroker. They are actually getting bids for $400-500 for 5000 primers.

Actually find the whole thing FUNNY,HILARIOUS,A CAUSE FOR MUCH MIRTH!
I reloaded my first cartridges around 1974,and have been doing it since(I'm flippin CHEAP).Along the way,I've learned some things:
IF YOU TRY AND GET OUT OF A FIREFIGHT,BETTER NOT BE CARRYING MORE THAN 150 ROUNDS FOR A LONG GUN AND 50 ROUNDS FOR A SIDEARM.(1979).
Handloads are excellent for accuracy. That being said,if you don't know how to SEAL a cartridge, don't trust 'em after 5 years. (1986)
Priming compound can be made by reading books and having at least a high school level chemistry class. The dicey part is filling the old primer.THINK WET! (1992)
In the end, you'd be surpised by how long primers last. The last match I shot in was using a .45-70,cartridges were loaded with FFG,and the primers came in a WOODEN TRAY.(2000)
Ya'll WANT TO THROW MONEY AT SOMETHING,GO AHEAD.

Shame fellow gun owners on here trying to rip off fellow gun owners and reloaders. I've got those VAGT users on my "do not do business with ever" list...such as gunsmith7, toast, and VTliskey. I hope that others here do the same.

Same, I ignore them all but I wish this site set it up so you could give a reason as to why so one doesn't forget.

A lot of people use strike anywhere matches. There are some good threads on other boards about doing this stuff. It's not for everyone, but it's also not completely out of the realm of possibility.
