I have a Stevens 620A pump 20 gauge shotgun with the "C-Lect" choke that everyone used if they couldn't afford a Cutts grin

The Stevens 520/620 series shotguns were Savage/Stevens competitive answer to the Winchester Model 12. A Browning-designed shotgun, they are built like tanks and are a joy to own and shoot. Had it not been for the Depression and the superior marketing campaign launched by Winchester, these would have been on par with the Win12.

When they were new, they were not a cheap shotgun. My father bought one in 1938 from Monkey Wards (A Westernfield 30 "Ranger") new for $38 (about $850 in today's dollars). The craftsmanship and the amount of machining required to make one is pretty much what caused them to be cost prohibitive to make, and Stevens/Savage stopped making them in 1955...About the same time that Winchester stopped production of the 1897 (and others).

If you want more information, check out the Wiki article here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevens_Model_520/620)

The best thing about these shotguns is parts (including wood and barrels) are plentiful, and unlike the M12's, the barrels don't require fitting to make them work. I would keep it (I have a bunch of them), but I don't shoot .20 gauge and I don't want to tear it apart sell it for parts if I don't need to, especially since you don't come across .20's much.

$310 is all I'm asking for it. If you don't want to make the drive, I'll ship it to your FFL for $20 more.
