Just seeing what’s out there. This is a cool wall hanger/ range piece that I could keep, but maybe someone is looking for this pistol. I have a Smith and Wesson Model of 1905 4th change in .38 Special. By the serial number, it dates to roughly 1916/17 and was either a police issue pistol or a privately purchased piece. Has the original wood grips, that have been well worn to the point that the right side grip has almost no checkering left. Overall, it’s a shooter grade revolver. It works well, it has been cleaned and oiled, and the rifling looks fine. The bluing is mostly gone. If you enjoy old detective/ crime movies, or want to own a piece of history dating to the Great War, or you’d like to larp as a bootlegger, this is for you. Looking for 5.56 or 9mm ammo, AR or MP5 magazines (I may be picky on what type), or other historical guns. Testing the waters, this revolver would be content sitting in the bottom of an old foot locker. Pics https://imgur.com/a/IlxHj83Thanks!
