clrk21 Staunton Registered: 11/24/11 Posts: 9 Loc: Staunton, Va City or County: Staunton	I rescued this gun from the most hideous sporter stock I have ever seen and put it in a surplus israeli stock. Besides the stock everything matches except the safety switch which is one number off. The bore and crown are in great shape and it is a great shooter. Apparently these were made for the SS from surplus Gew 98s by slave laborers. It has the two death head stamps that are supposed to help authenticate it.
